On the subject of flight and asylum, there is often only superficial knowledge and few concrete, personal experiences. What is asylum? Why and from where do people flee? How does an asylum procedure work in Germany? These and many other questions will be explored in this educational module. The goal of the workshop is to counteract rejection and exclusion of new arrivals in Germany and to contribute to the development of a society based on solidarity, in which people in need are given protection and the opportunity to live a self-efficient life. The workshop creates a space in which information is conveyed and the participants’ fears and prejudices are discussed and reflected upon.
